The Riddle of the Cosmic Buddha
I painted this 16x20 acrylic on canvas live at Sound Haven Festival, letting the music pull this golden alien sage into existence. Later, in the stillness of my studio, I wove in blacklight-reactive magic—revealing a second, hidden life that only glows when the ultraviolet sun rises.
Here’s the riddle it leaves you with:
“I sit upon fire but feel no burn,
I travel the stars without ever turning.
My skin is gold, my gaze is deep,
I guard the knowledge you cannot keep.
When the true light shines, my colors awake—
What am I?”
Some say he’s the bridge between worlds. Others say he’s the keeper of the geometry that holds reality together. Me? I just know he stared back at me the whole time I was painting him—like he was the one finishing me.
